A Bad Goodbye by Clint Black and Wynonna Judd

This song was played at my Uncle Bill's funeral. It is a poignant message that we all need a reminder of from time to time.

As requested by my Uncle Bill, I read my "Love Letter" to him at his funeral. One of the eye openers I had this week was how many "Baby Girls" Uncle Bill had. I was grateful for the conversation he and I had after sharing this letter with him back in April. It was in this conversation where he shared with me "how hard he has tried to be there and to give his love to so many...that sometimes he felt like he was being untrue." I confided that I understood saying, "Now that I am a parent myself, I understand how you don't take your love from one and give it to another...but rather it just grows exponentially. I know my place in your heart is mine and mine alone. You can give love to all the others that you want to." As I shared this letter, several others came up to me informing me that I wasn't his only "Baby Girl" and then had the privilege of learning how many lives he had touched by being willing to love those who needed him most. I am grateful to be known as one of his "Baby Girls" XOXO
