I'm becoming quite the fan of Gardenias

You've been Egged

The boys asked for an Easter Egg Hunt, so we had one for Family Home Evening
We hid some easy and some hard.
Nicholas showing off one of the easy ones.
Luke found one on the tree
Kyle found the one on the meter
Dylan found one
And then another
The playhouse is always a good place to look
Dylan is one of the happiest people that I know
Nicholas and Luke count how many eggs they have found
Nicholas retrieving the egg out of the drain pipe...a little tougher
Luke checking out his treasures
Nicholas going through his stash and deciding he is going to donate the eggs to his class
They do get along some of the time
Cuties!
They sure had a good time!

Toledo II Ward Easter Activity

Resurrection Rolls was taught by Lindsey Empie
Resurrection rolls start out with ingredients...butter, cinnamon/sugar, crescent rolls, and a marshmallow.
They go through the Jewish Tradition of caring for their dead and discover that once their ingredients are baked...the marshmallow disappears out of it's tomb, just like Jesus Christ
Lindsey talking about the resurrection

Zach Jastal and Cory Coursen glad to see one another
Dylan and Luke
Nicholas has his marshmallow in hand
He dips it in the oil
and spices
Zach opens his roll to see if the marshmallow is there
The marshmallow is gone
Nephite Adventure was manned by Karen Benner
We talked about Jesus Christ coming to the Americas after his visit with his apostles
He taught and blessed the people in the Americas

Then the kids went in to the gym which represented what it was like when Jesus died on the cross. It was completely dark, and there were earthquakes and storms.
People desperately tried to find their families and return to their families
We blindfolded the other kids and they had to crawl around on their hands and knees to find their family (candy) and get to the temple
The older kids
back..Jessica Eck, Devin Jastal, Kyle Simons, Dylan Simons and Cory Coursen
Front...Hannah Klepacz, Nicholas Simons, Luke Simons, and Zach Jastal

Lisa Kijowski taught Resurrection Eggs
