Walk With Me

Family...It's not where you go or what you do, it's who is beside you that counts.

My Wish For You

Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, and most of all love to complete your life.

Having it all

"The secret to having it all, is knowing you already do"

Prayer

I know not by what methods rare
But this I know, God answers prayer
I know that He has given His Word,
Which tells me prayer is always heard,
And will be answered, soon or late
And so I pray and calmly wait
I know not if the blessing sought
Will come in just the way I thought;
But leave my prayers with Him alone,
Whose will is wiser than my own,
Assured that He will grant my quest,
Or send some answer far more blest
~Eliza M. Hickok

Knowledge or Wisdom

NEVER mistake knowledge for wisdom. One helps you make a living the other helps you make a life.

Be Happy

"I am still determined to be cheerful and happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances."~Martha Washington

Faith

"Feed your faith and your doubts will starve to death.

Worth

"Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved." ~ Thomas S. Monson

Being better

There is no glory or honor in being 'better' than another, only in being better than one's past self.

Live Life

Live with intention.
Walk to the edge.
Listen hard.
Practice wellness.
Play with abandon.
Laugh.
Choose with no regret.
Appreciate your friends.
Continue to learn.
Do what you love.
Live as if this is all there is.”
~Mary Anne Radmacher

Be the Change

Be the change that you want to see in the world. ~Mohandas Gandhi

Remember

DO NOT FORGET IN THE DARK, WHAT GOD TOLD YOU IN THE LIGHT

The Power of Prayer

"Prayer can solve more problems, alleviate more suffering, prevent more transgression, and bring about greater peace and contentment in the human soul than can be obtained in any other way." ~Thomas S. Monson

Shared joy is a double joy; shared sorrow is half a sorrow. -- Swedish Proverb

Nurture

"President Hinckley . . . admonished both men and women to be nurturers. He said, 'How much more beautiful would be the . . . society in which we live if every father . . . and . . . mother regarded [their] children . . . as gifts from the God of heaven. . . and brought them up with true affection in the wisdom and admonition of the Lord'

Friends

"The companionship of Christlike friends deeply touches and changes our lives. We should well remember that the Lord often sends 'blessings from above, thru words and deeds of those who love'...Love is the very essence of the gospel of Christ. In this church, prayers for help are often answered by the Lord through the simple, daily service of caring brothers and sisters. In the goodness of genuine friends, I have seen the reflected mercy of the Lord Himself. I have always been humbled by the knowledge that the Savior regards us as His friends when we choose to follow Him and Keep His commandments."
Joseph B. Wirthlin

Never give up

"Oh, it is wonderful to know that our Heavenly Father loves us — even with all our flaws! His love is such that even should we give up on ourselves, He never will."
Joseph B. Wirthlin

Destiny

"The choices we make determine our destiny."
--Thomas S Monson

Gratitude

President David O. McKay taught that "Thankfulness is measured by the number of words; gratitude is measured by the nature of our actions."

Pursuit of Happiness

Often people attempt to live their lives backwards; they try to have more things, or more money, in order to do more of what they want, so they will be happier. The way it actually works is the reverse. You must first be who you really are, then do what you need to do, in order to have what you want. ~Margaret Young

Where do we find happiness?

We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have. ~Frederick Keonig

Do something about it

If you don't like something change it; if you can't change it, change the way you think about it. ~Mary Engelbreit

About Me

Live well, Laugh often, Love much ~Maria: I wear many hats in this world. I wear the hat of a friend, daughter, sister, Labor & Delivery nurse...but most importantly I wear the hat of a wife, and mother to 4 very precocious and fun not so little anymore boys. I find myself learning more and more about who I am and who I want to be each and every day. I hope you enjoy the journey of discovering just who all of us are through this website.
